Breitling D 52065 wrist watches news:
Hi,First time posting...someone i know has this watch that I would like to purchase but both of us have no idea what it's worth. He says someone told him it was from the 50's.As you can see all it says is Tachymeter, and it's two watches in one (the top and bottom of the actual watch are 2 faces; the 2 pictures here are of the same watch).Anyone know anything about this watch? Thanks!
I have an heirloom Bulova that came from my father-in-law. His wrists are a bit smaller than mine, so now the stretch strap that Bulova provided is really a bit tight for me. I'd like to replace it with something that looks like it belongs with the watch. I'd actually prefer not another stretch, but rather a link strap with deployant. Maybe a leather strap with deployant if it goes, but I think a metal strap would work better. The inside distance of the lugs s 17.5mm, so I'm thinking I can only use a16mm strap - 18mm wouldn't work, would it? When they size a strap is it right on, a little bigger, or a little smaller? The face has a beautiful sunburst effect; here's a pic. Doesn't really do justice to the color. It's actually bright gold.P4020818.jpg
And let me tell you that if you haven't visited one yet, do so.Seeing all those watches that we normally look at on the web is a site to behold. A lot of them caught my eye, but believe it or not, the rose gold Jazzmaster H32545555 VIEWMATIC PVD 40 with the dark brown leather strap lept out at me. Fantastic looking! They had the chrono version as well which was also beautiful. What didn't originally catch my eye until I looked at it closely was a H32716859 MAESTRO DAY - DATE # H600.327.100 // dark brown leather strap. It has a silver face that was so classy, wellit felt like an IWC Portuguese. Beautiful silver dial. The only Ventura they had was the Anniversary in SS that Rusty picked up.The X-Wind's looked really cool, but a bit busy on the dial. I don't go into AD's often because I don't like salespeople drooling over me waiting to buy something so when I do, it's a treat. I get to see watches in person instead of pictures.Just for the record, I returned my Khaki that I had problems wit
Orient Star Retrograde in rose gold with a black dial. I have the cream/stainless steel version. Sort of like the mirror universe Spock compared to mine.Orient Star Full Skeleton. Geesh, $1700 after code. Seems expensive, but does have a new movement with a 50 hour power reserve.
I don't know much about the serial numbers for AP divers but I am about to close on a new AP Diver. Do I need to ask what the serial number is or anything like that or will this new watch be fine? I don't think I'm going to be trading and selling any time soon or buying for an investment. I just like the watch but of course I want to get a watch with a story if possible.Let me know your thoughts.
