Cartier Cartier 30378 wrist watches news:
I just purchased a TYMC timing machine from Orbita and it is a great little device. Below is an image of my GMT 116710 on the machine. By the looks of it, no regulation is required. In actuality, the watch gains about 1-2 seconds a week. This is the screen with the 116710 face up. The S/d is standard deviation / Day. The 308 degrees is amplitude, and the beat error is .1ms, very well within specification.A great manual that describes all the timing variables is posted by Witchi at witschi/e/produkte/?sub=6&cat=11. I have also updated my Rolex regulation page at minus4plus6/regulation.htmCheers,-Sheldon
I have search locally for a place to service/clean watches and wondering if the numbers he quoted me are hug/low/right on.Checking on on-line reviews he was given good feedback.I have a 1930's Westclox, a Sieko Navigator GMT automatic, and a chronograph with a Landeron 189 movement. When I asked a ball park on cleaning he said the Westclox $100, the Sieko, $140, and the chronograph $340.I am wondering for ball park quotes to cleaning and oiling if these are what to expect. I understand that there would be unforeseen problems, and repaired needed, but it it ends up just as a clean and oil if this is what to expect with most repair shops? Thanks
Hello Everyone,I am a happy man and and proud to say I wrapped up a deal today on a pre-loved AP. Wound up getting an H serial that was purchased in July 2011 at a price I could not refuse! Pictures will follow and the watch is expected for delivery to me on Tuesday. Thanks to everyone on the forum for there pictures and advice. I have been looking at AP's since last year and finally found the one. Can't wait to get it!
