First time for everything.
I have been having recurring issues with the crown of my Seamaster GMT for a while now but it still functioned as it should most of the time so,being the attentive sort that I am,I ignored it for nearly a year.As I went to set the date today in preparation for a new month I found myself holding the watch in my left hand and the crown in my right!!So for the first time in my WIS life I am having an overhaul done on one of my Omegas. (I've had it for about 5 years so what the heck.)Luckily my friendly neighborhood watch guy is also a trained and authorized Omega guy too.I'll drop it off tomorrow for a complete breakdown,cleaning,reassembly,new crown and refinishing of the case and bracelet. With a 2 year warranty on the work.Not cheap-but a lot less than another watch and when I get it back it'll be like new!! (which it wasn't when I bought it!!)In the meantime I guess the PO will just have to do.(or one of the other "too many" watches that I have accumulated)

Watches Gifted at the New York Rangers Game
Last night, the New York Rangers retired the numbers of Hall of Famers Andy Bathgate and Harry Howell.The team presented each of them with a Panerai watch, specially engraved with their uniform #'s on the side of the watch.It was also trainer Jim Ramsey's 1500th game and he was gifted a Tag Monaco Steve McQueen, with 1500 engraved on the side of the watch.As a watch lover and Rangers fan, I was quite pumped.

Hello, just as the flightmaster i was also restoring a speedy 861 premoon and i could not be more happy with the results.The patina on the dial is so beautiful, now i cant stop looking at it.This build was done with all NOS parts, except for the dial. I¡¯m also slightly attracted to the proportions of the Sea Dweller and possible future value retention despite the additional funds that would need to be added.
