Calibre 9909 MC is the first multiple time zone movement to feature in Cartier¡¯s Fine Watchmaking Collection, housed in a Calibre de Cartier watch. The movement is entirely developed and produced within the Cartier Manufacture. At SIHH today, Cartier presented a new version of the multiple time zone complication, which aims to provide:– the home time with day/night indication, the traveler¡¯s local time, adjustment for summer or daylight savings time and ¨C something quite unique ¨C the time difference between the two selected time zones, which some might call the jet lag display.– excellent readability of all the functions in a limited space– simple setting and checking of all functions and displays.Home time is indicated on the lower dial in the center of the watch by a day/night hand featuring sun and moon symbols. Local time in the traveler¡¯s location is shown by the main hands, which enable the second time zone to be read directly. The self-winding Caliber 9909 MC di
Breitling's three-story boutique on New York's 57th Street is one of the largest watch stores in the city. What you might not know though is that in addition to a full collection of new watches (ground floor) and a lounge and bar (third floor), the boutique also houses a small vintage museum tucked behind the watchmaking department on the second floor. Included are beautiful chronographs from the early 20th century, funky '70s sport watches, and modern milestones in Breitling's development. Here's a little tour of this hidden gem.?When visiting the Breitling boutique last week, I was fortunate enough to have Breitling Technical Director Gerhard Loitz as my guide to the museum, shedding a lot of light on the little details that make these pieces part of Breitling's history. Here we'll walk you through the exhibition chronologically, starting with a Breitling first. 2 OF 14 Here we have a two-button chronograph dating to 1938. Breitling pioneered the two-button chronograph
Sometimes I have the urge to keep them. Just got this one back from Jesse, it's been on my wrist since I got it and it's just a nice clean Seamaster! However here is the Seamaster that started it all. This one isn't going anywhere!
All, Regardless of the maker of the watchdoes it hurt, help or have no impact the watches 'health' if you let the chrono run 24/7? What I mean.should the chrono function be 'turned off' if not needed? Thoughts?
Hi guys, So I just picked up a Speedmaster Professional and it should be here tomorrow. I bought the updated version that comes with the two additional straps. I was just curious how many people actually use the velcro strap? Might sound silly but when I was younger my first watch had a similar velcro strap, so Im kind of excited to use it. Just wanted to see what peoples thoughts are on the velcro strap and see if anyone has any pics.... cheers
