Cartier C 36 mm wrist watches news:
Sorry for a second post so soon. If the Mods want to delete my original thread, please do so.I love this watch, I now love Quartz. According to the spec sheet, the JSAR (Jumbo Search and Rescue) was commissioned in November of 2007 for the Canadian Coast Guard, and the NASA Search and Recovery Team. It arrived in a very government-esque white cardboard box that was printed with the words, Wrist, Watch. By far, the worst packaging on the face of the earth. The watch itself is utterly indestructable in appearance. 46.6MM, 18MM thick, with a 3MM thick Sapphire crystal. 120 click bezel with zero play. 22MM lugs with a natural rubber, plain strap. The Movement is listed as a Swiss ISA 16 Jewel, High-Torque Quartz. I don't know what a high torque quartz movement is, but I will tell you what it does......The second hand moves from hash mark to hash mark with such deliberate authority it has to be seen to be explained. I have several quartz watches, and they all have that looseness
I've been seriously considering a 15202ST Jumbo lately and popped into the Beverly Hills Boutique yesterday to try on the rose gold version since the steel is never in stock. This is the second Jumbo I've tried on and although it's stunning overall, neither one has had the deep blue color I've seen in some of the photos of the Jumbo on this and other sites. It comes off more muted and gray/blue in most angles I could see in real life. Is this just the way it is or are there Jumbos out there that have dials that look like this (see below) in the metal?
Oh yeah! So what do you think of when you hear the term Menage a trois?????? Well, this is male dominated forum so I would think most of ya'll think along these lines...... Whew, that is a hot one How about this????? Personally I think all that leather and chains....ummm....too much chafing and sweat in that getup This one's is pretty inexpensive... Look, my lil pony is even getting in the game!! And of course for our female members! Nothing like pastries, a fabulous hairstyle and shirtless men Oh wait, I think I am supposed to be revealing a WATCH here! Sorry, I lost my train of thought hehehehehe Very exciting to see the brown truck today! Come to momma!!!!!! Any guesses???????
I am curious if these watches are or will be something special. I have found one trading over MSRP and little or no hype elsewhere. Curious as to others thoughts here.
The Boutique emailed me to say my watch was magnetised. They have demagnetized it, and is now keeping good time. I will collect the watch tomorrow. It was running only about 12-15 secs fast per day, but was fast in all 6 positions. The only way I think I could have magnetised the watch was by my messenger bag which has strong magnets to attach the opening flap of the bag. And the most I could have done was either to slip my hand past the magnet while assessing the contents of the bag, or to momentarily rest the watch against it. Is that all that it takes to magnetise the watch, which by the way being titanium should be less prone to magnetism?I had better stop using the bag then if so.....
