Corum will bring to the prestigious complication split-seconds chronograph to the collection of their popular Admiral Cup of watchmaking. Admiral Corum watch of Cup Challenge 44 seconds Split chronograph will feature a case 44 mm rose gold 18 K in diameter, a carbon fibre bezel, and a guard of the Crown accented by elements of rubber sport. Black lacquered dial is the emblematic nautical flags on his Bride, and the chronograph subdials are lined with 18 carat gold. The watch is equipped with a crocodile strap and a corresponding loop of pink gold. This Corum Cup watch new Admiral is animated by a movement of automatic mechanical 31-jewel which has obtained the COSC certification; the chronograph offers a counter 12 hours and 30 minutes, as long as continuously running subsidiary seconds. The split-seconds chronograph function is activated by the push-piece on the case between eight and 09.

Greetings Rolex fans! I had an interesting thought a couple weeks ago that I had shared with John Holbrook in response to his article about the Parachrom Blue hairspring, and now that I've got a little bit of time, I thought I'd share it with everyone else. John's article prompted me to do some thinking. As I was admiring my two tone GMT-IIc the other day, I wondered, as many here had wondered, why Rolex didn't "move up in the series" (for lack of better terminology) and advance the number, making this watch the GMT-Master III. After all, it did seem logical, many of us reasoned. I had figured, and this was strictly a theory, but my thought was that even with all the great features added (better clasp, ceramic bezel, green anniversary script,maxi-dial, triplock crown, "super case") even all that wasn't enough to warrant calling it III, however, surely with a MAJOR change, like having the 3186 in the watch and the parachrom blue, that would call for a new number! Vintage Newbie
Greetings,I'd like to say hello and show you a piece I've owned for a few years now. It belonged to my grandfather who willed to me after he passed away. I've been into watches for many years, mostly Rolex and Omega and I've kept this little gem in a safety deposit box at the bank. Today I was getting out some documents and decided to bring this piece home and post some pictures. I'd like to know everything there is to know about this watch. It's very important to me of course, but my internet searches haven't turned up much except a few defunct ebay sales. I'm really looking forward to hearing what you folks have to say. Damasko Question from a New Guy
I've been visiting this forum for awhile gathering information & impressions about different quality watches. After a lot of research I decided to get a Damasko DC56 Chronograph & it was delivered yesterday. It seems to be a finely crafted piece of equipment but there's something about it that nags me. The sweep of the chronograph second hand(when turned on)does not move smoothly throughout its full rotation. There are places where it runs at a different beat, almost like a quartz movement, and the it runs smoothly like a mechanical movement. It does this at the same places on the dial consistently. I haven't noticed any inaccuracy in time keeping but it is troublesome for a brand new watch. I have an 8 yr. old Wenger Registered Model GST Air w/ the same Valjoux 7750 movement that runs smoothly throughout it's second hand rotation.Could this be an indication of a serious problem or something that will work itself out w/ use?
