Sotheby’s Appoints Tim Bourne Worldwide Head of Watches
Sotheby¡¯s has appointed Tim Bourne as Worldwide Head of its Watches department. Mr. Bourne will be based in Hong Kong, overseeing Sotheby¡¯s Asia watch auctions in addition to those in Geneva, New York and London. Black case, black face, black band
I'm looking for all-black watches. Preferably with a high face to case ratio (aka, not Luminox style with their big cases and small faces). I'm actually looking for a all metal and not-necessarily-all-metal version of my all-black watch. The metal one for daily use, the other for more rugged pursuits (hiking, camping, etc). For both, I like the military or chronograph style.Please don't recommend Chase Durer as I have one already and it sucks.Any ideas?

My Birthday Present!
I posted a quick "teaser" shot of this in another post yesterday, but finally got around to taking some proper pictures today. My birthday was on Tuesday and, as you'd expect, I got a new watch to add to my collection Yes, it's a Seiko Black Monster. I know that there are umpteen thousand pictures of Orange and Black Monsters on this and other sites, and it seems that nearly every member has one, but I'm still going to do a full post anyways because I absolutely love this watch! After wearing it for a few days, I can see why it's so popular among watch enthusiasts. 26400 vs 26401?
I tried searching for this topic, but couldn't find anything on it, so I apologize in advance if this has been covered previously. I'm new to the AP world and been perusing some of the models, and I noticed the 44mm rose gold model comes in 26400RO and 26401RO. Does any one know the difference between the two?Thanks!Eric

5726 or 5167?
Hi all, I am considering in some time, probably before summer, changing my Daytona 116515 either for a 5726 on bracelet with grey dial or a 5167 in SS.It would be number 3 with a 5712 and a Hulk.Of course the price difference is very big between the 2, and I am wondering if a 5712 and 5726, both on bracelet, is not too similar.If I didn't have the 5712 I would not hesitate 1 second and go for the 5726, the AC and moon phase make it perfect IMO as a useful complications Patek, whereas the 5712 is an original and funky dial watch with basically useless complications but I love it.I tried the 5167 but in RG, stunning but can't justify the huge price difference just for RG.I chose the 5712 over the 5711 because as my first and maybe only Patek I wanted complications, but as a 2nd I can see the 5167 fitting nicely in a trio, as I have decided for some time already that I won't have more than 3-4 pieces.All the posts I read say how the Aquanaut is incredibly comfortable, which I can imagine
