For the past four days, we've been inundating you with the latest, greatest, and most extreme brand new watches from the SIHH 2015 – one of two of the most important watch trade shows each year. We've shown you everything from new, ultra thin split seconds chronographs, to inexpensive annual calendars, to collaborations amongst masters, to simple, time-only revivals, to diamond-laden flying tourbillons hidden with golden flowers. Playing in the dark - call me a Lumatic!!!
First off, a quick tour of the abode...New dresser, one drawer felt lined and devoted to the lovelys...Next up, to quote one of the best bands EVER, "I'm Standing in the Dark, Dark, Dark..." (for those who don't know, you should be beatenPlatinum Blonde, 1983 - 1988, and thank GAWD I'm Canadian!)From left to right...Nautica DiverSeiko OMLuminox Field 1897 ChronoHamilton BeLowZero Chrono (rose gold - 'cause THAT matters at night!)All were hit with a blast from the LED flashlight prior to pics being snapped (+/- 20 seconds elapsed between lights out and pictures taken). Hit each one again for about 10 second prior to most of the shots. Fuzzy = my unsteady hand + 8 second shutter speed:( (yes, I used a tripod, no I didn't use the timer on the shutter...)ALERT! ALERT! Took this off the original and put it on a nice old Omega Mesh.A bit of tropical happening to the sub dials, main part has gone from black to a bit grey.Although, according to another thread, it may just be uniform water damage.
