Well back in Espana after 4 weeks away and 2 FANTASTIC weeks in USA.Really Thanks to everyone that met/talked and looked after me.After 4 weeks LOTS of packages, ranging from antique watch makers tools to this LOVELY American watch from 1935.WALTHAM~~21 Jewel RIVERSIDE~Rolled Gold cushion case with fixed lugsOriginal Enamel dial~c.1935~Now lOOk at THIS movement:21 Jewel with brass chatons, bright steel winding gears, cut bi-mettalic compensated balance and precision regulator (fast/retard mechanism) (really its magnificent)Movement and Case match 100%and Adj 2 temp, NOT bad for $350Only in America!! New (to me) Seiko Bullhead chrono
...on an original fish bone bracelet.Interesting how the bracelet is asymmetric to accommodate the asymmetric case shape. The case is wider at the 12 o'clock side, to make room for the crown and pushers, than at the 6 o'clock side. So while the lug widths (and end links) are 20mm at both ends, the bracelet is 20mm at the 6 o'clock end but flares to 24mm at the 12 o'clock end!70's bracelets, Japanese or Swiss, usually seem to be designed more as torture devices than anything else. They all have a thin, cheap, tinny feel compared to modern bracelets this fish bone bracelet is no exception it seems too thin and underweight to support the weight of the watch head. 70's bracelet building technology just couldn't cope with the designers' imaginations. Honestly, most 70's bracelets, even from expensive brands like Omega and Rolex, seem like they were made in someones garage when compared to even cheap modern bracelets from China.I think there's a bracelet swap in this watch's futur

Thoughts on the 2015 ROC 41mm Two tone
Hi guys,I happened to try on the new 41mm ROC two tone (Ref15400SR.OO.1220SR.01), at an AD today and thought it looks quite cool on the wrist. Sad thing, as I have just realized, is that I did not take any wrist shots.Would like to know what you guys think of this recently released model.(Here is a pic If found on the net)Thanks,Abner

Thinking of flipping the 15400
A bit of background, I have been downsizing my collection lately to put money into my apartment, it is the only debt I have and I want to be debt free by year end.Over time I've had many watches from many brands, too many to list, at one point I had 10 in rotation. I have downsized to what you see in my signature and am thinking of selling the Vulcain and Panerai. That would leave me with four, three actually because the Santos is an 80s two tone model that I don't wear, it belonged to my late father so I will keep it forever. I will get something else to have four in rotation, been thinking of getting a SubC (owned one at one point) and I was just offered a very nice GMT coke from 2001 in pristine condition.Now to the real issue, as much as I like the 15400 it really doesn't fit me right (even after getting a 1/2 link), a 15300 I used to own felt much more comfortable and the size was just right. So, since I am not putting more money into watches for a while, after selling the two, I

Ploprof Rubber and Mesh exchanging
Hi Again. In my my previous post I asked for advise on whether to buy my New Ploprof with a rubber strap or mesh bracelet. I had great response but as sort of expected it was about 60/40 in favour of the Mesh. I think I may buy both rubber and the mesh but was wondering how difficult it is to change them yourself save having to go to your AD everytime you want to do it. Has anyone any advise please on doing this and is it risky for fear of scratching the case???
