A sick thing happens when you are involved with watches too much. You begin to anthropomorphize them to a degree; at least I do. Or in some instances the effect is less than anthropomorphism, but an animal-pomorphism. So I am treating this watch like a dog in need of a home. Only the watch will live a lot longer! And does not shed.Credor is Seiko's ultra high end brand. They even have a $70,000 watch that I will discuss in the next few days. That's right $70,000 for a Seiko. Seiko's Spring Drive movement found its way into a few Credor watches, with this ref. GCLL997 Moonphase watch being a prime example. Style is similar but distinctly different than that of the Grand Seiko or Seiko Spring Drive watches that typically contain the movement. Further, Credor watches have never, and will probably never see American soil. Just a thought/question I've had lately and wanted to put out for the opinion of you esteemed Patek enthusiasts on a Rolex forum: With the ongoing craze for the Nautilus causing steel 5711/12 5980s/90s to reach 2nd hand prices closer to the 50-60k mark, do any of you consider the relative (value and collectibility) merit of purchasing a manual wound Daytona instead? I suspect the vast majority of you (and myself I'll say) all waited and purchased your Nautilus from an AD at retail. But, when multiple treads on this forum have started asking how many non coveted PM Pateks one has to purchase from an AD to be considered for the opportunity to purchase a steel 5711 for 30k, obviously we all see at least a slight bubble. It hard to predict the future but manual wound Daytonas have been the top echelon of Rolex and sport but really all watch collectibility for a generation. Can we say the same for the modern Nautilus in whatever metal? These are tribute models produced for the last 12 years

Just wanted to share with you guys a new incoming that i just received this week:) Some of you may know i was pondering between a white 5711 or maybe an AP15400 well luck would have it that my go to AD gave me a call that a 5990 has magically arrived (i was on the list since launch) and i could have it if i wanted. So the plan to get a 5711 or 15400 went out the window and i went straight for it. I'm delighted !!!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
