- Purchased this Watch for my son and when I received it, it wasn't what I expected it to be for a pre-teen. Instead I gave it to my Mate and he has enjoyed it.

Ulysse Nardin 243-10-3/393 wrist watches news:
My personal preference is to keep my watches with the original factory settings...I can think of one instance where I would definitely switch a strap of a watch and that is when a "factory-configured" gold case watch comes on a black leather strap then I will consider a brown strap but keeping similar attributes of the original, e.g leather type and style. But my friends, I must say that slapping a 30 dollar, nylon strap on a 10-15K dollar watch makes my stomach twitch! I will observe quietly from my corner, shake my head and remind myself of a popular saying in latin America "cada loco con su tema" or every madman to his own desire!
Looking to purchase a Breitling from a reputable member of a forum, he was originally only looking for a UK deal but I really want the watch and we're looking for a safe way to get it into the US, Has anyone here had any experience with shipping a watch overseas? Who did you use, who will insure?Chris
Hello all :) I just joined to ask for some honest advice...Today I took my Rolex watch to a jeweller shop that buys secondhand watches today as I'm thinking of selling it. I find it quite heavy on my wrist and I prefer to wear lighter watches.Well, they took it away to the back of the shop to inspect it, I was quite worried as I could not see what was happening to it... Anyway they came back with it and said there was a scratch on the glass.Actually at first they said there was a scratch on the dial... which scared me as the watch has never been opened since it was bought new (I am the original owner), so I know it can't have a scratch on the dial as it has never been touched inside since it left the Rolex factory... then he clarified it was a scratch on the glass. I am actually quite surprised because I thought sapphire glass is almost scratchproof and I don't own any diamonds that can scratch it.I can't see a scratch with my eye but admittedly I don't have a special magnifying glas
Has anyone noticed if the 116610LV is arriving at their AD's more frequently? I recently was able to be placed on a list for the 116610LV and I was told that it might be less of a wait than originally anticipated.
My wife has a 36mm Datejust for which she now would like a diamond bezel. I'd be interested in past experiences in making this swap out - including any experiences with Alan Furman - they are quoting $3k, which is fine as long as the bezel is essentially indistinguishable with the Rolex OEM one.
