Breguet 5907bb/12/984 wrist watches news:
I've read that Omega had some issues with thier C.2500 A and B movements in this caliber for the Planet Ocean would someone care to elaborate.Thanks...
I have a Seiko 5 that I have had from new.Looking up the serial number I see that it was made in November 1979.Does this qualify as a "vintage" watch now?The watch runs well, it needs to be serviced again soon but I have never had any problems with it, apart from the fact that the original bracelet kept biting chunks out of my wrist from time to time. The bracelet broke a few months ago and I got a replacement from a jewellers. Heresy to purists but I needed to get a new one and was sadly ignorant at the time that genuine Seiko bracelets were still available. I don't think I could have afforded one though looking at the listings on ebay anyway.
When you were a kid, C was for cookie. But now that you're a watch nut, C is for C-case. They started in the 60's as a mix of the tonneau and cushion case and have stuck around since. Let's see'em. Same rules as the other threads - post one at a time and don't repost until somebody else shows theirs.I'll start with one of my favorites.
Just picked up this book "1001 Wristwatches" from the Bargain Bin at Barnes & Noble for only $12. It has examples of a lot of different brands and is divided by type (Chronograph, Diver, Aviator, GMT, Tourbillon, Calendar, Repeater etc.) and at almost 300 pages in hardcover it's a pretty good deal.
Good Day all,got my Ottoclip today and took a few photos of my 5167;Take care,Eric
