What an Incredible Loss of History by Trying to Save $1.28 ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
I am nearly at a loss for words because of what happened today! I bought four pristine Waltham watch dials off of ebay last week and they arrived today in shambles. This has to be the dumbest person on the face of the planet!!! The dials were sent in a .44 cent envelope wrapped in a sheet of paper!!!!! PLUS, this seller placed some kind of tape directly on the face and back of the dials!!!! What an incredible loss of American history by trying to save $1.28 and not buying a padded envelope and bubble wrap!!!! You can see in the pictures that this envelope was sent through the processing machine at the post office and they were crushed, you can even see where the dial feet have been forced through the envelope and that there are holes in it now, almost of the feet were crushed off as well. These dials WOULD HAVE completed a couple of very nice American antique watches that WOULD have been enjoyed for years to come but are now lost forever! Omega Advice for Local Charity Shop
The Manager of Capability Scotland has asked me to look at this Omega that was handed in. She wants to know if it is real and what is wrong with it. Having taken the back off, I think we can say that it��s a real Omega Date Quartz watch and going by the serial number dates to 1979. When turning the crown, there is a grating feeling and only the hour hand a date move, the second and minute hand do not move when turning the crown. Any help and advice would be appreciated. Brian

Since the moment I had the 5650G for the first time on my wrist I fell completely in love with the Aquanaut Travel Time. Such a great complication and such a soft and comfy feeling on the wrist.Have you realized that the 5650G has an applied luminescent hour marker at 6.00, whereas the 5164 hasn't?Additionally it seems that the 5650G has a thinner bezel than the 5164. Can anybody confirm this or is this just an optical illusion? I wonder if Patek will release a blue dial 5164G soon and if yes which layout they will use...
