He was recommended to my by another member, and he's done all the service work on the watches I've been selling recently. His work is good, the price is reasonable, and he has good turnaround time. Picked up another Lord Elgin from the Horizon Look Line
It uses the exact same case as the Meridian, but has a case number of 7685, whereas the Meridian uses 7684.All in all, it is in pretty good shape, with a tad of brassing on the lugs. I replaced the damaged original crystal with a new GS lens.Even though it is pretty much a Meridian and has the same movement, I really liked the dial.

Lume Check!
I thought it would be interesting to see everyone's lume shots in one place, both custom and stock. So feel free to put them here.I started thinking about this when comparing the C3 Super Luminova to Lum-Tec's MDV lume. I've heard Glows like a torch, glows all night long, never dark, yada, yada.So I put them to the test. To illuminate and equalize the conditions, I put both models side by sideand used a UV flashlight on each, sitting on the crystal. First for 30 seconds each, then 10 seconds each, then 5 seconds each, then 1 second each, and then started the photo taking.The first Pic is a slow shutter snapshot of the Maratac and Lum-Tec Bull45 side by side. From this picture, the Bull45 seems a bit brighter.ranerejy.jpgSecondly, to test duration, I ran a 30 minute time lapse movie, again using the same illumination method to insure equal timeunder the lights, and found that both seemed to fade to nothingness by 30 minutes. Awaiting to get my PATEK. Few Questions?
In 3 weeks I will be driving to AD to get my very first Patek, Nautilus 5712-1A.Ad has received it 1 week ago. Waiting for the day to come has been BRUTAL!!!!Have a few questions for Patek Owners:1) how often do you service your Patek? Do you follow recommendation per Patek recommendations?2) how do you clean your Nautilus? 3) do you use watch winder for Patek with minor complication? I will be wearing it couple times per week and rotating it with Daytona.Thanks and looking forward to post my first PATEK.
