Debaufre - Any good - Also which one?
Hi,I received this months Stuff magazine (UK) and with it came a guide on watches. I spotted the Debaufre Airforce Orange watch and started to look at their website, they seem to do a lot of nice looking watches and now I have a few questions.1. What is the brand like, quality etc? from reading the reviews on the website everyone seems to say the quality is amazing.2. Which watch to buy? the airforce orange or Ocean 1 with green Bezel?The airforce watch resembles many of the Bell & Ross models and the Ocean 1resembles the 50th Anniversary Rolex.. The thing putting me off the Airforce is the self winding and also the strap with the holes. Assistance in finding classic/dress watch
Hello hello, I am quite new to the complex world of watches and was hoping to get some help. I only own one piece at the moment and I'm pretty sure it falls under the fashion watch category. I thought I would ask all the experts here for some advice on acquiring a worthwhile timepiece. Although I am not well acquainted with the different brands in terms of quality, I do have a good idea of the type of watch I am looking for (I will try to narrow it down as much as possible¡­ for better or for worse haha).I am looking for a classic/dress watch; with leather straps; a simple watch face (preferably with a small second); something on the slimmer side; lastly¡­ I was hoping to find something around $1000¡­ but from what I¡¯ve seen so far I don¡¯t know how realistic that is. I have included a few pictures for reference (most of these I think are more than double my budget range). Background: I'm 36, male, bald (shaved head), close-cropped perma-beard, athletically built (6'2, 215lbs, broad shoulders). I mention this to offer some context for the question I'm wrestling with about my next purchase.Current Collection: Submariner 114060 (2016) that is my daily/travel/go-everywhere watch. I have a Deep Blue dive watch from my significant other that I wear casually on a NATO and an Orient Polaris GMT (from my deceased mom) on a blue gator strap. The Orient and Deep Blue are obviously sentimental so I'm not looking to duplicate either of those.Personal Style: I work either from home or at a client site in software, so dressing for work is very casual. I haven't worn a suit in a few years but wear sportcoats with slacks regularly for more dressy occasions. I also live in Southern California, so between my line of work and location it's really casual.
