Cartier Cartier 5338 wrist watches news:
The Vintage 1945 collection is a modern reinterpretation of the spirit of an Art Deco-inspired model with a rectangular case. At 35.25 x 36.20mm, the generous dimensions give it a strong presence on the wrist. Like the original model, its dial features Arabic numerals, “railway” minute track and subtly concave small seconds display at 6 o’clock. This symmetry, the guiding principle of Art Deco, gives the design perfect balance. The Vintage 1945 XXL is also distinguished by its self-winding mechanism. The manufacture caliber GP3300 can be appreciated through the watch’s crystal case-back, and sports traditional decorative finishes: C?tes de Gen¨¨ve, circular graining and blued steel screws. The Vintage 1945 XXL is also available in steel.TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Pink gold caseDimensions: 35.25 x 36.20 mmAntireflective sapphire crystalSapphire case-back fastened with 4 screwsWater resistance: 30 metres (3 ATM)Girard-Perregaux GP3300Mechanical self-winding movementCal
No, it's not a Frog, but I only paid one dollar for it. It keeps great time; it works; and it has a very nice brown croc band I can use with some other watches. I am using it as a work watch. It is very clear to see and keeps the date. What is not to love? Can you think of a better value?????
Looking at your current collection, do you have a few neglected watches you'd like to move out and use the funds to trade up to one better watch? Or would you go the other way and sell one more expensive watch and buy 3 or 4 with the funds? Maybe you've just grown tired of one and would like to have a different watch of the same value. If there's any changes you've recently made or would like to make in the near future, post them here and let's talk.
I know nothing about Omegas hence a call for help.Theres a rather nice speedie I am interested in but my BS radar is ticking as the seller insists its marked with 16 jewel movement. The back is transparent if that helps)I cant seem to find any reference to a movement that is not 17 jewel.Rather than go look at the watch before being sure its Ok are there any Speedmaster experts out there who can enlighten me?Did Omega in fact release a Speedie with a 16 Jewel movement?
I had a local guy that serviced all of my vintage watches but he has gone out of business. Can anybody recommend somebody to service my treasured 105-012-66 Speedy?
