Would it be advantageous for Omega to maintain two Co-Axial movements? Part 1
Hey Ya'llAs you know, the day of the Calibre 8500/8501 cometh. With it will come an inevitable increase in prices. This should not be unexpected since you don't get something for nothing but with the mooted MSRP for the new 2008 Aqua Terra, it does seem that Omega will maintain its' history and tradition of operating a fair pricing policy. Some weeks back you'll recall that we had a discussion in which a majority of members stated that having an in-house movement was not a high priority in respect of one's buying criteria. A solid, dependable, accurate movement was of greater importance.I'm looking to develop this discussion into two initial parts, both of which will contain polls. The idea is to gauge your opinion as to the advantage firstly to Omega of maintaining two Co-Axial movements on their production line. The rationale for doing so would be to allow a lower price point for an entry-level Co-Axial in such as the 300m Diver thus widening the volume of Omega ownership in the mark
