Cartier HPI00715 wrist watches news:
Hello everyone, I'm trying to familiarize myself with vintage American Watches as I want to be a collector. Gladiator is helping me over in the beginner forum, but I researched for about an hour on some of these watches and I just have no idea how they're real. First I found a vintage Waltham watch that is in my price range and I'd like to get it; however, the seller lists the movement as a 21 Jewel 750-B after searching for a long time online I only see that the 750 B came with 17 Jewels. Also, the two watches that look most similar to the watch on eBay have different numbers and hands than the one listed. Here are two pictures taken from the auction:Movement:Front:Serial:Also in regards to Elgin,Are these two watches good to buy? I think the price is reasonable (for me) and I'm interested in becoming a vintage collector and need to know if purchased; would I be taking a step in the right direction?
A group of guys in Poland have joined together and resurrected the G. Gerlach watch company. I read about them first on another watch forum, and as I am of Polish ancestry I knew I had to try one of their offerings. The ORP Sokol is the namesake of a WWII Polish submarine that, along with the ORP Dzik were nicknamed the "Terrible Twins".It looks great, fits great, and is reasonably priced. It probably wont be my last watch from the "Old Country". The specifications are as follows:Specification:Automatic movement SeaGull ST 2551 with hacking and handwindingPower reserve: 45hFrequency: 21.600 bpsStainless steels case 316LCase diameter: 42mmHigh: 15mmLug to lug: 55mmWater Resistant 200mSapphire crystalLuminous Hands and MarkersGenuine leather strap 22mm, steel buckleWooden watchcaseG. Hi everyone - this is my first post here, I recently acquired my first ever timepiece! I have been wanting a timepiece since 2009, I went through many phases over the years and almost pulled the trigger on a IWC Pilot Chrono and PAM111. I was in love with AP 25940SK at one point but it was out of my price range. I am quite happy that I didn't and held out for this long. I knew I would be settling for something I eventually would grow out of and I did. My taste has evolved tremendously and through more and more research I become more and more intrigued with AP. Last year I did tremendously well in the stock market so I decided to reward myself. Here is how I narrowed down my choice, i considered a few watches in my price range the 15400st blue dial, 15400OR black dial, 15202, PP 5711a and the Daytona rose gold black dial. I was pretty set on the 15400st but I wasn't able to find the blue dial since it was boutique only (lucky me) as time went on I did more research, collectors and puris
I'll be visiting NYC for 2 weeks from this weekend. It will be my first trip to USA and the 24 hours flight is rather challenging even to imagine So besides visiting AP and some other watch boutiques in 57th Street, is there any other recommended watch places I can visit? Also any suggestions on what are the must-do activities in NYC? Appreciate any input!
Ref. 5235G first appeared at auction in October 2014 that watch fetched $68,250 which is hammer plus premiums. Since then 5 more watches have made their way to auction for a total of 6 watches so far. None were repeats, all unique watches (not the same movement/case numbers) with one of the 6 not selling, reserve basically was not met (not enough interest)The average selling price (including buyers premiums) for the six watches was $59K. That's the price buyers had to pay to take the watch home, however if you are a seller and sold your watch at auction you would have taken home $45K only (after deducting the 25% buyers premiums and the listing fees).patekonomics (coming soon, looking for web developers)until then follow patekonomics on Instagram.
