Ulysse Nardin 133-91ac-7c/HEART wrist watches news:
Gift from a coworker. She said it was her grandmothers. Doesn't know it's age or who made it. It doesn't even say where it was made. It's a nice little pocketwatch. Doesn't work unfortunately. The gold is very nice and I'm wondering if it's goldfill or solid? I usually see some kind of green gunk on goldfill, I don't see any on this one. The face is cracked in several places, but I like the 2-tone blue on white. The movement is nicely engraved but there are no markings as I can see. Not even a 'made in the usa' or whatever. The case is stamped "Supreme Guaranteed 10 years." "1748467"Think the Guarantee is still good?
from the jan. 14, 2007 wall street journal:Watch brands need to differentiate themselves. Rolex is the only high-end brand that has risen above the fray. Wealthy people say they are more likely to buy a Rolex than any other brand for their next watch, according to a report soon to be published by the Luxury Institute research group in New York. The brand is far more recognizable (84 percent knew it) than Bulgari (39 percent) and even Cartier (63 percent), although rivals outranked Rolex for perceived quality and exclusivity.

I've been thinking about my first PM purchase, which I'm hoping to do by the summer, and have been between a gold sub and the DayDate 40. Tried on the gold sub here:https://.rolexforums/showthread.php?t=597309What I didn't take into account was the DayDate II, as EVERYONE seems to love the the DayDate 40's proportions and lines. Saw this at the AD and fell in love on sight, but looking at the pictures now, it just seems a bit...wide. Unfortunately, they didn't have the YG with silver romans dial, so will continue to try on pieces until I find the one that yells buy me!.On another note, has anyone noticed that the rose gold on the DayDate 40 is a bit more copper-ish in tone, as compared to the DayDate II? I actually like the color of this DayDate II, but the DayDate 40 just blends too much with my skin.
