Zenith 03.2040.400/22.c496 wrist watches news:
Hi folks! Please see pics below.I found this watch in a drawer at my parents house. They think it is from my Great Uncle. I am thinking this is post WWII probably in the 50's. It is 7 jewel and the case appears to be chromed (see it peeling in the pics).Just interested in identifying from a sentimental standpoint. It is kind of beat up and it doesn't want to run. I jiggle it and the movement works so it would probably just need a cleaning to get going again. Thanks for the assist!
Hey guyscan we see any pics of the khaki navy frogman.. also what does the 2 crowns in the chrono do..Thanks
For fun and for my love of experience related opinions. I wanted to start this thread. No watches you want, no watches you're planning on, but what is the nicest watch you've owned? Pictures of the Front and movement or engravings would be appreciated.I'd love to see some of the awesome pieces here! Maybe it'll give me something to work for in the future. Here is mine:
I have been looking to add a Breitling to my watches. I was looking for a Day Date with Black Face around 43mm dia, with a bracelett. A clean looking watch. The New Transocean fits the bill. It also has a history linking back to 1958. Also the year I was born
Hi, guys. I've recently taken quite a shine to the 1950s-60s era Omegas. The size - 34mm or so - seems quite nice for modern-day wear on a smaller wrist. I've wanted a vintage watch for a long time and had been looking at Rolex Datejusts and Dates, but the vintage Omegas have such a neat look and can be had for considerably less than Rolex. At least, so it seems. Is it crazy to be especially intrigued with the Constellation because it has the cool observatory image on the back of the case? I just love that look. Even though it wouldn't show when being worn, it is such an elegant touch.I'm trying to learn more about these vintage pieces. Can anybody tell me more about them, pros and cons, and post pics if you have them? Any and all vintage Omegas - by all means share your knowledge!Thank you!PS - just found Desmond's blog. What a tremendous resource!
