Maurice Lacroix PT6197-SS001330 wrist watches news:
Hi.Please help me identify my Patek Philippe. I am in desperate need of help regarding this.Last month before I came to Gevena, my cousin in Kathmandu gave me his Patek Philippe which came to him from his elder relative. The watch had stopped working since 2009, which is why he had sent it with me to repair it if possible.Only today morning I was trying to take it to the repair center in Geneva, when suddenly I decided to first gain information about the watch. So, after a tiresome day in front of the computer, I am unable to find ANY information whatsoever about the watch. Here are the photos of the front and the back.Face.jpgRear.jpg
Bought these about 6 months apart. Enjoying every minute with them ever since.
The thread on the Martin got me thinking. This is a good example of a watch that was obviously very well-liked in its day it MUST have been because so many were sold. But, perhaps because of this, today it is not worth much. However, other watches were also quite common, but are worth much more today than when they were new. (I have one model in particular in mind that I think it might be, but I do not wish to polute the opinions of others.)To remove the value of gold from the mix, lets only consider gold-filled examples. With this in mind, which common gold-filled Hamilton is considered to be the most valuable today? Obviously, I will leave it to each of us to supply our own definition of "common".
HiMy first post here. Been reading the forum for quite a while though. Lots of good info on AP's.I'm looking to buy a ceramic diver and I have narrowed my search down to this one. As you can just about see there are some marks on the edge of the bezel at 6 o'clock. What do you think about this? Do you have anything similar on you ceramic bezel AP's? The seller says that the marks are tiny and barely noticeable. I live far away from the seller, so I'm not able to take a look myself.
Hi,After 8 weeks, my new watch has finally arrived! I chose this watch to compliment my rose gold Breguet Classique Automatic 5177 and as a new case shape for collection. I wanted a white, noble metal watch that was somewhat dressy, but also would be at home when dressed casually. A manual wind was desired but not required. I wanted a watch that was easy to set-up as part of a larger rotation. As I understand it, the Gondolo collection was launched relatively recently by Patek standards; only about 20 years ago. It is named after a line of historic pocket and wristwatches manufactured by them for the Gondolo & Labouriau (a Jeweler in Rio-de-Janeiro) in the early twentieth century. This line of watches is Patek Philippe¡¯s homage to the Art Deco style that was popular from the 1920s¡¯ to the 1940¡¯s. The Art Deco style emphasizes simpler geometric, cubist-influenced forms with certain repetitive shape motifs that frequently come in threes, can utilize modern industrial materials and cont
