Cartier W5200002 wrist watches news:
Hey all. I'm shopping around for a wedding gift for my fiance. He currently has an Omega (Seamaster I think?) with black face. He has mentioned wanting an automatic watch. What I'm trying to decide is whether he would want a different brand watch (e.g., Breitling) to start a collection or whether watch enthusiasts tend to stick with one brand and I should look at the Omegas? Also, if I do go with Breitling...I've been checking out the Super Ocean w/ blue face. Is that a classic style that will stand the test of time (and marriage :))? Do you think it's too similar to the Seamaster? I know he likes chrono and he likes a big face (he also has a Chase Durer that is huge). He also likes a brushed band but I didn't see many Breitling options like that and I think it might be a nice change from his current watch. Also please let me know if you have other suggestions Breitling or otherwise. I also am considering Tag Carrera but to be honest I have a feeling he would be more impressed w
I made this little treasure find yesterday. This is a 115 page book, in full color(PDF Format), narrating the very rich and incredible watch making history of Seiko. It was released in 2003 but it gives you the kind of insight that very few have or understand about this incredible watch making conglomerate.Enjoy it. Print it. Its free.Link:"A Journey in Time: The Remarkable History of Seiko"forums.watchuseek/attachm...5&d=1238879472
I am hoping the picture provides enough information. I have found many watches from the Wesley collection that were close to this one, but the second hand section was always slightly different. Thanks for any help!I will check the post to see if the attachment went through asap.
A NIB set was just made available at our local boutique. If interested, please PM.
The other day I broke one of my rules about never buying a watch on eBay. I have been looking at 1960s Seamasters, and came across one on eBay that I thought looked rather clean, but not too clean for a 40+ year old watch, and decided I would roll the dice and take a chance.Since there have been an increase in posts in this forum about vintage Omegas, I thought I'd post mine, and see what people have to say, especially since I bought it in a manner that I would typically avoid.I am curious if anyone sees anything I missed. It is listed as a 1967 Seamaster, 166.010.I got the watch today, but these photos are the seller's.
