If it stays with me, my first Omega...Hello all,Some time ago I did a post regarding a project I had done for my boss (Link). In that post I mentioned an Omega that he had given as well. The Omega required a bit more work and has gone back to the watchmaker a couple of times, but I think we are now in pretty good shape.Here is where we started - as best I can tell, this is a OT 14393 from 1960 or so. I did some poking around on the Omega website researching this and I am pretty sure that is the model we are looking at.As you can tell, it came on a 3rd party bracelet and was in pretty bad shape. The dial had already been (poorly) redone - they were a little sloppy in placement and with the amount of adhesive they used.One of the screws had lodged itself in the mechanism as well.Here is a better shot of the dial. 14k/Diamond 1940s Hamilton Ladies watch ID
Hi There -Some time ago, one of you was kind enough to attempt to help me ID the pictured watch. It was my Mom's. I could never get the back off (was afraid to break it) so took it to a gentleman at a clock/watch shop today who removed the back for me. He didn't see a SN but the works were marked Hamilton, Caliber 757 and 22 Jewels. The double clasp is marked 14k and the watch weighs aprox. 17 g (my digital kitchen scale). There is no H on the crown.I have tried to find this watch so many times, checking e-bay, ruby lane, etc. and have never found this exact design. I looked through the reference materials here and it seems like all the ladies high end watches from this period were only 17 jewel (this one is marked 22).Can anyone help me with an ID? I'm guessing early/mid 1940s, but the guy told me it could be from the late 30s, as well. He also mentioned that it looked brand new :) I don't know how relevant it is, but my family was from chicago.hamilton01.jpg

I need some decision making help (yellow gold models)
so i'm looking for some feedback/advice. I have been collecting for about 15 years at this point. been through a dozen or so watches. now i'm at the next fork in the road. Current watches (hulk, 90s pepsi, 90s YG Yachtmaster white dial)so i had a mid 70s presi. it wore small on me, i'm 6 foot 220. so i traded and made some moves to get a mid 90s 16628 YG yachtmaster to get me into the 40mm world. i've had this for about 2-3 years, i told myself my next watch would be a 40/41mm presi. however, i walked into an AD the other week and they had this watch 18348, factory diamond dial and bezel with the blue vignette dial from 1989 with ALL the original paperwork. I never saw myself with this watch ever in life, but in hand it was gorgeous, almost brand new condition, and from a collector stand point, it being all factory everything with paperwork is something that I cant stop thinking about. I know i'd have to give up a couple extra bucks on top of my YM to get it, but all in all, is this a

swap YM 116622 plat. for DJ II 116334 blue?
hi guys/gals, wondering if you could help with some suggestions.I own a YM 116622 plat and a SD43. I fancy a dresssier piece and was thinking about getting the latest DJ41 ref 126334 blue dial to replace the YM. However, I could swap the YM now (3 years old good condition) for the DJII 116334 (BNIB). What should I do, wait for a DJ41 126334 or go for the DJII 116334? Or perhaps don't swap and add the 126334 later?thanks all!
