Help Choosing a Replacement Watch
Although I will ultimately make my own decision, I would like the opinions of the members here.I recently bought a watch made by Philip, a company owned by the Italian Sector Group. I understand that these brands are not well known in the U.S, but they are more popular in Europe. Anyway, I bought the Philip Admirale XL which is a 48mm Chrono powered by the Valjoux 7750. I’m not all that happy with the size. I thought I would like it, but it proved to be top heavy and cumbersome to wear as the bracelet could never be properly sized to my wrist. Here is the watch with a replacement band:Philip admits to a problem affecting some of these watches where the stem won’t release when pulled out for setting and changes the hand position in the winding position, etc. They have been very upstanding and offered me three choices to fix the problem:1.I can exchange the watch for another, identical watch. I'm just on my way to the airport after 2 days of hospitality....AP style, it's been incredible.AP have started a partnership with Goodwood and we've enjoyed an amazing day of golf with Darren Clarke with a BBQ lunch to start, demo from Darren and then 18 holes on a beautiful course. AP Spain had flown over a team of equally enthusiastic watch collectors to try to beat the U.K. Team however I'm able to report that they were unsuccessful on the day.The day was enhanced further with clear blue sky, a beer buggy and.......a tequila buggy driving continuously between the holes. There was even a Gin & Tonic tent on hole 12. The day quickly became less about golf and more about having a great craic.Playing golf after drinking gin, beer & tequila was a really interesting experience and full marks to AP for thinking of the tequila.Last night following the golf we had dinner at Goodwood House, the home of Lord March, where we ate great food and drank even more alcohol. Has anyone ever tried to put a steel bracelet on a PAM233. I wonder if it is even technically possible ?

Case height - 422 and 510
Hello all,Can anyone tell me the case height for these two pieces? I would love a 422, but feel that the 47mm case would look too big on me - unless the case is not too tall! Maybe this is just wishful thinking on my part, buy oh well.The 510 is also a strong contender, with similar looks at 44mm. The 8 day pr is also very sweet. Info on this case height would be much appreciated as well.Many thanks!

I touched on this before recently in a thread. People told me that I'll get used to it. But this damn thing is so heavy. I don't know how you do it Neil!I need to give it a break. Going to wear the DJ TT linen face for a little while.Any other precious metal daily wearers deal with the same issue? Thoughts ?
