like to own someday, but probably won't as it's just way out of your realistic price range or just too much for you to justify spending. Maybe in my case I'll make enough money someday to afford one of these :crossfingers:
I'm interested in this Longines Avigator Chrono model L2.629.4.53.2. Anyone have any first hand experience? Is dial busy in person, too small, etc? Thanks.
My AP Elephant is polished for the first time by the Audemars Piguet Service Center combined with a full service and eh.. I donĄŻt like it. The Ą°mattĄ± grey texture on the back of the case and the backside of the pinbuckle is gone. Also, the Ą°APĄ± logo on the pinbuckle normally had some kind of contrast to the metal around it and now it doesnĄŻt. The bezel was ruined and had a hole but is done very well but that was also the reason that I decided to do a polish.Overall, the watch feels kind of strange and the screws in the lugholes seem like they are very close to the outside. I donĄŻt know what to think about it. IĄŻll post some pics later on.
Unless I am wrong, (which happens a lot) the DD40 has no lume on itĄŻs dial(?). I guess because the indicies are made of gold. I often check the time in the middle of the night on my DJ41. My grail is a white gold DD (white face) but does the lack of lume and the ability to read the time in the darkness bother any of you owners? I am wondering if it were possible for Rolex to somehow place a lume on the hands and dial to make it night-readable? If IĄŻm wrong, by all means call me a Dorklehead, but I feel I would really miss the lume function, do any of you DD owners agree?
