Arnold & Son’s HMS1 Collection Strives for Classical Elegance
Arnold & Son, the Swiss watch brand based in La Chaux-de-Fonds and named for 18th-century London watchmaker John Arnold, has released a new collection of elegantly simple watches called HMS1. The name harks back to John Arnold’s history as a supplier of marine chronometers to the British Royal Navy.The quartet of new watches includes two in stainless steel cases, with a white or anthracite dial ($9,885 and $10,095, respectively); one in an 18k rose gold case with an anthracite dial ($15,165); and one in an 18k white gold case with a silver-colored dial ($16,640). All the cases are 40 mm in diameter, water-resistant to 30 meters, and feature curved sapphire crystals with nonreflective coating on both sides as well as sapphire exhibition casebacks.The watches contain Arnold & Son’s in-house, hand-wound movement, Caliber A&S1001, which powers the hours, minutes and small seconds display at 6 ‘clock on the dial. Hello All,This is Amer from India and i wanted to expand my Mechanical watches collection from 1 now to 5.Just purchased a brand new Omega PO....its amazing....a little heavy though but i love it.Now i am thinking of moving up in terms of brand...steel bracelet or leather both are fine....but please recommend a brand that is slightly better than Omega and has a range of 2000 to 3000 USD.Its gotta be a Automatic...hate the ticking Quartz.ThanksAmer

Rubber strap - AP vs AP Bands?
I want to buy a rubber strap for my 42mm ROC. I have worn the genuine AP rubber strap on my Rubberclad but would like to hear from people that have tried the AP Bands version. Is it inferior or essentially the same? Comfort is my main priority.

Simplicity Perfected...Breitling Transocean!
Well here she in the newest member of my Breitling family, a Breitling Transocean (A10360) just recently purchased. I LOVE this watch! I'It is simple and can be dressed up or down. The dial goes from a Cream color to Silver color depending on the lighting. And nothing beats a Breitling Gator strap for looks and comfort. I¡¯ve always had my eye on this model and the stars aligned to make this opportunity become a reality. The Transocean fits perfectly into my collection and will be worn often.
