Chopard Chopard 34379 wrist watches news:
So I found local dealer who will sell me the seamaster 212.30.28.61.01.001for my wife, it will cost me about a hundred dollars more than on line but I will get better longterm treatment They have a two year warrenty that covers everything (scratches and all) for about $140.00. The sales pitch was that it also covered lifetime battery replacement as well and at the end of the two years I could have the watch refurbished and have a new watch againWhat do you guys think, is it worth it or is the watch built solid enough that I need not worry about serious damage.
Greetings all.I would like to introduce myself and say how much the I appreciate the information on this board. Looks like a great place to hang out and learn. Perhaps I can contribute something meaningful every now and then. Thanks,RichardMy new Yummy.
Some of you may have known that a while back, I wanted to dissemble and reassemble a 6497 movement. I did.But then I had a problem. For some reason the balance doesnt work well when dial is facing up. In other words, the jewels are not knocking each other at the pallet fork area, to give the tick-tock sound. Now I came to realize that this is a task beyond an amateur, no, less than an amateur skill level.I am still learning this from an overseas skilled watchmaker who is willing to guide me and hopefully I can get it some day.Meanwhile, I got a beautiful, well, almost beautiful a silver skeleton Unitas 6497 movement to play around.I think I may just a couple of dials, some nice golden hands, a watch crystal and case and a nice buffalo strap and just put them all together, making it my first watch. And who knows, I may just give it away. But ah well, I am working on it slowly for the love of it keeps me going. Here are the pictures of my 'blessed' 6497 movement and the new skeleton incomin
Hi,I have a thin wrist, yeah, but I just love the looks of the 42mm ROO so had to buy one anyway. I went to an AD to get he 1.5 link by removing one link and inhaling the 1.5 as the watch is a tad too tight. They said I can't do so as I've runbiut of removable links. Could you please have a look at the bracelet at let me know if that's true? I see one link that can be removed. Maybe I'm mistaken but he said it cannot be done. Thanks.
Hey TRF:The only two watches in my current collection are the PP 5167 and the Rolex BLNR. I feel like those two provide me with a nice balance of Rolex/Patek, color, steel/rubber, extra complication, etc. Even though I like the BLNR, the 5167 gets the majority of the wrist time. I absolutely love the aquanaut!Every time I look at a picture of the 5711, I'm in awe of it's beauty. If I traded my BLNR, do you think that it's redundant to have the 5167 and 5711 as my only two watches? They have the same movement and other similarities, but I think they could also be an excellent compliment to each other. To help you give me feedback, I'd like to let you know that 1) I really don't have a practical use for a watch with a lot of complications, and I really have no use for a dress watch, so sport watches appeal to me most 2) I'm in my late 20s 3) I would trade the BLNR for 5711 and would have to add ~$15k which is obviously a lot of money.Soooo should I keep the BLNR, keep cash, and enjoy m
