Citizen JY8037-50E wrist watches news:
Hi!I'm new to this forum, but would like a bit of help in determining if this PAM0048 is a real or a fake. It seems as if this is the best place to find the experts barring going to the dealer with the seller. Can anyone help? Do I need to supply more pics? Many thanks!RogerPS. I have been shown a box, papers, etc which match the watch, but there was a paper with results of the movement, but could not tell if this movement was in the watch from outside. Do I need to open it to check?
...grail math, that is. I was gawking at the new JLC offerings and thinking how awesome that Memovox reissue is - until I saw the size is 40 mm. It got me thinking how much it would cost to track down a vintage Memovox from the 50's or 60's and have it restore at JLC. I figure about $1000 more or less for a beater, and $2500 for the job. So for a maximum total of $4000 I could have a like-new vintage in a size more in my wheelhouse. They average 34 or 35 mm usually, with the smallest being 32 mm and the largest at 37 mm (I think). Then I got sidetracked [imagine that!] and started to calculate how much it would cost to scratch the rest of my vintage itches: an Omega dome dialed Constellation on a Milanese bracelet, a Longines Flagship, a Breitling Top Time, and a Rolex Zephyr or maybe Day/Date. After a quick estimation I realized that I could have ALL of them for about the same price as the Breguet I lust after. That's right - every single vintage grail I have left to track d
Thinking of buying the lebron. What are your guys thought on this model compared to others in this price range give or take 10k? Thanks
An owner of a 41mm ROC i bought my wife a Lady oak at Christmas. We had some challenges with the Boutique and it put me off AP for a little while. My last purchase took me back to the everyone must have staple of DD2. After her initial reservations my wife is now loving her RO and in favour of the larger size has sold her daily beater 26mm DJ. She is now in the market for a new watch. I have been trying to push her towards PP but most of not all in my price range are Quartz. My preference for her remains ever reliable tand tough Rolex in 31 or 36 but she loves the Millenary lady in Pink gold 77301OR.ZZ.D015CR.01 My questions are:Has anyone had any exposure to this watch, unlike most other APs they appear to be thin on the ground in the preowned marketplace and I wonder as to whether that may be a testament. Is her SS RO really a daily beater ( the lack of screw in crown worries me) Should I get back into the world of AP or should I gently push her in another direction
Not too sure if appropriate but saw a nice reference for sales in Garage sales and the case engravings are very much off to my eyes. Im new to vintage, is this the norm in vintage pieces?
