Citizen JY0005-50E wrist watches news:
Hi all, this is my maiden post so have mercy.I'm about to spoil myself this summer and buy a brand new Rolex Datejust.I'm wanting to know some questions please:1. What is the latest model number?2. What dial (non bling bling) would you recommend?3. Where is the cheapest place to buy in England?I'm veering towards a salmon dial with fluted bezel in steel at the moment. Many many thanks for your time
Looking for a little bit of advice. I know there are several posts about this watch in the forums but there aren't really any that address my specific question. My first question relates to pricing. I've found a dealer that has the black dial in stock on a steel bracelet but is pricing the watch at around 3500 which, to me, seems pretty high. What are your thoughts? I haven't been able to find this model anywhere for the last several months. By the way this is the version that says 'automatic' on the dial instead of the updated 'coaxial' version which leads me to my second question. Is there a material difference in quality between the 'automatic' version and the 'coaxial' version? As far as I can tell, both the automatic and the coaxial use a very similar movement but other than that, I can't find any details. Thanks for your help,Will
I have come across a beautiful man's Rolex Cellini for sale but I admit that I dont know anything about them. Are they like Tudors, which are almost a Rolex, but use an ETA movement instead of an "in house " movement? Are they in fact a lesser Rolex or do they stand alongside of Rolex as equals? What's the history of these watches? Does anyone have a Cellini in their collection?
I would like to introduce myself with a new piece to myself. It was after I decided to repair a family pocket watch that I found this watch in a box of "scrap" watches. I gave it a quick wind and away it went. I took a chance and brought it. It has been beating away ever since and keeps good time.It had GSTP K11915 Stamped on the back.Would anyone here know more about this piece, it would be great to learn more information about it's origin (I believe it's Swiss), its age and how they became a general service piece? Many thanks.Captain.PSIf this is in the wrong place please point me into the correct forum Captain
Recently, I've done some research into other brands. I was wondering what Rolex lovers generally think of these two. I've never personally been drawn into Patek's designs, but I love Vacheron. I know that VC's do not hold their values as much as Rolex and PP. Thoughts?
