I have an 883 model #2285 with a crosshair dial being restored, and I'm always interested to see what similar watches sell for as part of the research on vintage pieces I keep. I want to see if anyone here can tell why it's NOT a NOS (new old stock) item as it was described. Here's a picture of it taken from the auction:and here's another similar watch that has it's true original dial:I realize the indices are not exactly the same, but that isn't the tip off. (HINT: it's one of the same things you look for on vintage Omegas) Keep in mind this is just for fun, partly educational, and partly a warning about the dangers of eBay.
