Ebel 1215859 wrist watches news:
Greetings Hamilton fans,I've lurked here for a while, and have finally joined up.I've collected several Hamiltons over the years, and this one has become a favorite. It's a Kirby with a 982 movement. It's at an excellent watchmaker for an overhaul and to have the hands re-plated. I'll post an "after" pic when I get it back. It's about 23mm wide, and 35mm from lug to lug. It's very small compared to most watches these days, but it doesn't look very tiny on the wrist.
Hello all, I picked up my first vintage Hamilton and I was hoping to find some information about the case, particularly the lug bars. I've seen a lot of Thin-o-matics with regular lugs but not many with these bars. Is this an unusual casing? Is there a proper name for these bars (I want to say I've seen them referenced as "T bars" in the past, but I could be wrong)? The bars are slightly twisted so I'm guessing this particular watch might not carry a lot of value. I didn't pay much for it though as it was a flea market find, so I won't be too disappointed if it's a bustOverall, the dial looks pretty good (the "dirt" around 3 o'clock is just a reflection from bad lighting when I took the photo). There is some dust and a few random fibers floating around inside the crystal, but other than that, it should clean up well.photo.jpg
the sales forum should change it name to Invicta sales forum, nothing but Invictas there.
New arrival. I think this is a 1960's watch from UK jewellery and silverware retailers Mappin and webb.
Any owners of the ceramic models. Am hoping to pick up a 335 one day. Can any owners of this model or any other ceramic model post some pics please.
