TAG Heuer CV2110.FC6180 wrist watches news:
On my new Citizen Promaster SST titanium super chrono (JW0030-55E) when I select daylight savings time the display shows "SMT."I searched Google for SMT and the only related hit was the setting instructions for a Citizen Skyhawksimilar to those for my watch:"When button (A) is pressed in the [SMT] daylight savings time correction mode, DST can be turned ON or OFF." I took a picture for fun, and to show you the SMT on the display. Does anyone know why Citizen is using the abbreviation SMT, or what it stands for?
PAM 197 RG and Cartier Tortue 8 jours WG. Both using the same 8 days power reserve movement from JLC. Functional advantage I can see with the Cartier is the large display date window while the PAM has no date. The PAM has the PR indicator on the back and of course a superior "user-friendly" crown for the smooth manual movement. Both are in my eyes real beauties. Which is the nicer of the two?Cheers!Johan

All crews on these flights had to take part in a special training at the "SAS's Arctic Flight School". The swiss watch manufacturerer Universal Gen¨¨ve provided the crews with automatic precision wrist-watches that are resistent against the strong magnetic field of the polar region. They became the offical chronometers of SAS. SAS' Douglas DC 6-B "Leif Viking" On the 15th November 1954 at 19:18 local t
