Various Omega series, movements, and where to buy
I have narrowed down my decision for a new watch to three models, two of which are in the Omega line. Is there any difference in the various series produced? For example, one watch is in the "Special Edition Michael Schumacher The Legend Series." Does this have any value at all in the quality of the watch or its collect-ability? How about questions on movements? Is there a source that not only tells what movement for what model, but also the pros and cons of each movement?Finally, all the brick-n-mortar AD are well over an hour away, and the online prices actually allow me to consider the Omega. I just purchased the basic Speedmaster, 42mm, hesalite, manual wind, leather strap for 3,145.00. I sure like the looks of the special editions, Dark Side of the Moon, etc., etc. do you guys think that they are worth the money as they are priced around 7,500.0, over twice the price of the standard version.
