The first is an Alpha Radiomir with a Japanese movement Miyota, probably the best movement Alpha uses, like most of their other watches use enough unreliable Chinese movements with questionable accuracy. On the other hand their cases are very well made and a steal given the ridiculously low prices. This was the perfect mechanical watch if your budget is less than $100.

Actually, it was a FedEx truck that brought this new Hamilton Field Khaki automatic. It is a 42mm with ETA 2824-2. While only 5 atm water resistant, it comes with a Hamilton bracelet extension. . . probably to allow it to fit a much larger wrist.I don't think my lume shot below does justice to the lume of the dial. . very bright after just a few seconds under a desk lamp.I love the Hamilton brush finish but this one has a polished bezel just for a little contrast.It was a sweet deal too.

H-101 Field Trip!
I did a little watch shopping on Bay Street in Nassau, so I figured I'd share some photos. Some places were very accomodating, others wouldn't allow pictures, but all were nice. Good discounts too! Windy picked up 2 purses: a Fendi and a Dooney & Bourke so she was happy.Hmmm, I wonder what they sell in this store?They didn't allow pictures though. I saw a great manual wind AP, and they carried Ulysses Nardin, Hublot, and Maurice LaCroix.This was a fun store:Some interesting things here; they even had a piano player! A SS DateJust with fluted WG bezel was under $5500 brand new - that's the total with no sales tax, no duty or luxury tax, and a 5% discount off their list price. Is this a good time to buy a submariner/gmt?
Hello all,I hope you had an excellent weekend. I've finally saved enough and looking forward to buy my first Rolex, deciding between 116610/114060 and gmt blnr.I have been doing my research over the past few weeks and got some concerns, any advice is much appreciated!There have been a number of rumours about a new movement (32xx) in the subs this year and possibly a more significant decrease in the supply. How much better is the 32xx movement comparing to the 3135 movement other than the power reserve? As baselworld 2018 is only 2months away, can you guys give me some guidance on whether I should hold on or not(considering the models are available)?Thank you all in advance for your assistance and input!

Replacement Value - Insurance Issue
Hi everyone. I recently lost my house and everything in a fire. Insurance has either ACV (depreciated cash value) option if you just want cash or a Replacement Value amount if you want to actually buy it back. For my DJ, I'm going with the Replacement Value because I want my 2 Rolexes back. With a fire, there is no jewelry cap like in theft.In your experience, will they price them at the current new retail value? Or the market value? I have late 90s models.ThanksEggman
