Ebel 9303F61/5633516 wrist watches news:
watches-dealer takes you inside the new factory of Detroit-based Shinola. Unless you¡¯ve been living under a rock for the past several months, you¡¯ve undoubtedly heard the buzz about a new watch brand, one that hails from within our own shores ¨C right here in the good old US of A. The brand is Shinola, and the buzz has been loud. Deservedly so. There hasn¡¯t been a large brand manufacturing watches in the United States for decades, and a return to that industry ¨C particularly in a home base such as Detroit ¨C is exciting. There are a number of important aspects to understand about this new company, and lots of questions we wanted answered. A few weeks back, I was treated to an on-site visit at Shinola¡¯s new Detroit factory, where I got an inside look at the operation and got my questions answered. But before I delve into the ¡°Whats, Hows, and Whys¡± of the Shinola brand itself, it is important to understand a few important background points:1. Once upon a time, American-Made watches were am
Today I received two very nice catalogues from WEMPE. One was dedicated tojewelry the other had over 60 high gloss pages dedicated to watches. Here is the nice little bonus:....inside of the catalogue is a little card if youwant to receive their very nice annual publication dedicated to horology. It is called "The Art of Horological Complications' and you can receive it forfree as long as you fill out the card and send it in.I have these publications from last 4 years (90 - 110 pages) and consideringthe astronomical prices of some recent books dedicated to watches, this is 'cannot miss deal' by any WIS that enjoy reading about watches and checkingout high quality watch photography. (You can go to Wempe web site, findthe address of a store in your country and mail the card to them. Or just print, mail or fax my picture #2 to their NY store. This publication is printed in German as well as English)Hope some of you will find it useful. Cheers !
A buddy of mine and I met for lunch today. He wore his Panerai and I had on my Oris Titan Chrono. Four middle-aged men were soon seated at the table next to us. Three of the four (I'm not making this up) were wearing black/ss Rolex Subs.I like the watch. Heck, I've owned three of them (one was the green LV) and enjoyed wearing such iconic timepieces. But at lunch todayit felt great to be different.
I purchased a new ceramic Sea Master 300m two days ago from an Omega AD and discovered yesterday that they had given me the plastic warranty card for a different serial number watch .That has all been sorted now, but thought I'd just check on here what cards should be with a new model Omega? They supplied me with the International Warranty Card and the Pictogram Card, but looking on the 'net some Omegas seem to come with a COSC card too?Do only the older models come with chronometer certification?Just want to make sure they've given me everything that they should've....Thanks!
What do you one watch guys do when your one watch goes in for service? Down time can be around 1 month, which seems like a huge amount of time to be with out a watch.I am in the market for my first Rolex and have thought about this. I have a daily beater (Steinhart), which I guess I will wear when my Rolex goes in for service.
