Hello, greetings from Norway! This is my first post, so be kind. For the last year people around me has started buying what the call ''Insane expensive watches'' and everytime i ask them what kind of brand they have, they say: Isn't that obvisious? Nixon of course! I always try to convince them that they should go to the Swiss route, but it's all about Nixon. This is people in the 15-18 years old range, i'm 17.To my question: How is Nixon in quality, price and valuable to other mid-range brands like Certina, Longines, Tissot etc? In the 500-1000 $ range.Me myself has a Tissot Chronographs G10 with GITD on the counters, and i'm very happy with it. It's good looking and isn't too large. And also, can i get your thoughts on my watch? The G10. Thanks,Mathias
Dennis, Windy and I got together in NYC for some watch fun, checking out the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center, and just enjoying a cool day.Dennis loved that the Zamboni was out when we got there!Dennis and I went over to Aaron Faber gallery in NYC and wentVintage Hunting for Dennis(Ed is great)Lots of Maybes, no triggers pulledThen a trip to "Breguet" I will let Dennis fill in the rest...(Unbelievably cool place!)A stop to Omega and...Carnegie Deli for a "little" sandwich....Dennis and Windy had to split theirsit was SO big!And what would a trip to Carnegie be without pickles and Cel-Ray Soda! Thanks for coming for up for a visit Dennis and Windy!!!
ive received a few pm's and other requests about putting an aquanaut on a leather strap or nato. while mine spends most of its time on the OEM rubber strap, i do find that leather and nato options can work, at least just to change things up a bit from time to time. i know some purists will scoff at this, but just figured id post some options for those thinking about making a switch. below are pics of my 5167 on the rubber strap, on black leather, on grey leather, on an admiralty grey nato, and on a custom croc strap with cream stitching i had made, which integrates into the clasp.
My all time patek grail - finally!Alot of nerve wracking work but its finally on the wrist....
