Hey guys ! ! !There has been a lot of talk about Olive Drab Webbing Khaki Trench Watch Straps lately on a couple of forums.As you guys know I have a couple of VERY old originals.The webbing is trashed and unusable but the HARDWARE is where the true value lays.I do not know of anybody who is making replacement Olive Drab Webbing Straps for WWI Trench Watches.So.................if nothing is available and it can't be bought ............................DO IT FOR YOURSELF ! ! ! ! ! Today was one of those days for me !I taught myself how to fabricate brand new Olive Drab Webbing Trench Watch Straps while using the ORIGINAL 1918 Sterling Silver hardware.I have several old WWI olive drab straps laying around my shop that had seen better days so they were deconstructed in order to see how they were fabricated.No loss as they were completely unusable.The hardest part was finding the 14mm and 16mm Olive Drab Webbing ! ! ! ! ! This is the other one that arrived last week. Always had my eye out for a 36mm smooth bezel DateJust with a two tone dial and as you can see this one fit the bill. It is a 2007 model in pretty good shape. I just need to get the crystal replaced due to a couple of nicks on the edges but I knew that going in. Generally I am not a huge fan of Rolex because they are so common but I don't see a lot of two tone dials like this one. Plus the resale is always high so I can flip it easily if I decide to move on.(Just noticed you can see my umbrella setup in the date window on this picture...sorry about that)

How would you describe the possible interest in ownership of a not yet 2 year old Constellation Double Eagle, gold/stainless? 1203.30.00. I understand it is no longer available for purchase. Would this fact make the watch more desirable, or less? it's a real watch, all crads, boxes, etc. Thanks in advance everyone. Chuck

How do you lay your watches down?
I was browsing around at rolex stuff (as you do) and saw this picture:https://.instagram/p/BZOkoTjhyeo/It got me wondering about how I always lay my watch down and that I had a habit of laying it in a particular way! I started wondering how other people lay their watches. I used to lay my watches down on the 9 side down (opposite crown) but started noticing small scratches on that side so I stopped that. I don't fully trust laying my watch crown side down so never got in to that.I tend to lay my watch with the head towards one end of the bracelet rather than in the middle to avoid the clasp scratching the back of the case, kind of like this:Does anyone else do this???

Hi FriendsI just got the Tudor Black Bay SG. Unlike my Rolex DJ2 (whose crown stops winding after about 70 or 80 winds- meaning that the watch is fully wound), the crown of the Tudor keeps on winding. I must have wound the watch in a clockwise direction for about 200 winds at one go but the crown keeps on winding. There is only a minor clicking noise during winding but the crown doesn¡¯t stop. Is it normal for the Tudor or is there something wrong with the watch? Maybe I am being OCD about the whole thing. Any input from the highly knowledgeable people on this forum shall be highly appreciated.
