This will be my first of several reviews on watches from the Marvin watch brand. In addition to sharing with you these interesting and attractive timepieces, I have an ulterior motive. You see, Marvin watches are not currently sold in the US. There is really no good reason for this, and I am trying to determine whether or not these watches would be in demand here in the States. Can You Afford Your Automatic watch Collection as they Age?
It is recommended that all automatic/mechanical watches be serviced every 3 to 5 years..Do future maintenance costs effect your decision on what kind of movement you choose in your watch?I have, on occasion, gone 3 hand auto instead of auto chrono because of $300 to $500 maintenance costs in 3 to 5 years on an auto chrono. I have 7 Valjoux 7750's and am considering selling some before maintenance is necessary.How do you feel? Do you plan to maintain them regularly or only address problems as they arise?

Hi Peeps, Thinking of getting my first AP - a Royal Oak Chrono (black dial) . Would love a brand new one Any thoughts on what is the typical discount you could get on this model from an AD? I would love some thoughts on this since I am pretty much a novice in the world of luxury watches! Travel for work between Dubai and HK so happy to hear from the experienced folks on where is a better deal possible.
