SIHH: JeanRichard Shows Two New Bressels and the Highlands Sand Sports Watch
At SIHH JeanRichard is introducing three new men’s models: the Bressel Homage “Daniel” is inspired by a Daniel JeanRichard pocket watch created in 1710. The Bressel 1665 Small Hour and Minute offers a distinctive time display, and the sporty Highlands “Sand” reinterprets the original Highlands from the mid-1990s. All three are powered by in-house JeanRichard movements.The Bressel Homage “Daniel” is dedicated to Daniel JeanRichard, the pioneer and “father” of watchmaking in the Neuchatel Mountains, and is a celebration of one of his greatest creations, to date the only known silver pocket watch of its time – one created in 1710. The new model has an understated look. The pink gold case measures a classic 38mm in diameter. It houses a curved, white lacquered dial, echoing the enamel used on the pocket watch. Secaucus Omega Service Center experiencetaking too long?
I sent in my Omega Seamaster to the "official" servicing center in Secaucus, NJ. When I called beforehand, they told me I would have the watch back in 4-6 weeks. It's now been 8 weeks, still no watch. When I called them this morning, I was then told it would be at least 2 weeks more before I would get it returned. They said the 4 - 6 weeks promise was contingent on "if all went well and they didn't have to order parts." Order parts? Why would they not have all the parts they need for such a standard model if they're the "official" Omega watch repair center for the US? Is this a common experience, or am I running into unusually poor service here?

My Grand Fathers South Bend Pocket Watch.
Some of you may have noticed I been posting a lot, well work owed me some vacation time. So been taking advantage of that and working on some watch projects.This is my Grand Fathers white gold watch, probably sat in his jewelry box for 25 plus years and in mine for another 20 plus.The crystal was yellow discolored and falling off, the face was also in very poor condition, you could not even read South Bend anymore. To my luck I found the exact face in near mint condition and required a new crystal. Some clean-up and servicing it's back in order. My Grand Father loved this watch he inquired a few years after he got to American. He did however comment to my Dad he should have kept his Doxa Gold railroad watch instead of trading it for the South Bend. I'm glad that I was able to restore it to the watches former glory, Hopefully the watch will be in the family as a heirloom for another 100 plus years.Your will see in the pictures the original chain, pocket knife, and one diamond cufflink .
