I start with a Submariner date, N serial made in 1991. Put amaxi dial and the fat minute hand.Now I've just put a GMTIIc crystal with anti reflective cyclop.Wow, what a great upgrade. Now it's really easy to see the date.Jocke

What to buy in 2011?
Always being on the hunt for a new watch, I have narrowed down my choices to two watches. I don't know when I will make my purchase, but it will be some time in the new year. So my question to you fine folks is: If you had to choose between these two, which watch would you choose and why? Seamaster Planet Ocean 38mm or Speed master Co-Axial 38mm
Ok, I've finally narrowed my choices to the Seamaster Planet Ocean 38mm or the new Speedmaster Co-Axial 38mm. There is a lot to like about both watches and I would be happy with either but wanted to get some opinions. I love the idea of a Chronograph and I might be leaning toward the speedmaster, but I also love the dives watch look of the Seamaster and appreciate the fact that I would probably never have to take it off. All opinions would be appreciated. I have tried on the larger speedmaster watches but they are just to large for my very small wrist. Thank you in advance.

New (to me) Seamaster 2221.80
A few weeks ago I bought the original Bond quartz Seamaster 2541.80 off Craigslist at a good price. It is an older model with tritium dial and hands.I loved the size, feel etc and kept researching more. I came across the 2221.80 and knew I had to have it. I loved the red lettering, longer hands and applied markers and Omega logo. The prevailing price seemed to be around $1300-$1500. Got lucky and found a Craigslist seller that had one mint with upgraded gift box, book, links etc.I met last night and the watch was as pictured by the seller. The seller also had the Omega rubber strap # 98000085 with attached buckle in unused condition ( which ofrei sells for over $300). He threw it in with the deal....$1250 out the door.The luminosity on this 2221.80 is insane. Woke up at 6:30 am and it was still glowing brighter then my Rolex Yachtmaster.Thrilled with this watch, and the rubber strap was an unknown bonus...I was meeting him with the $1250 price agreed on and I got the Omega stra

Need your input on this 114270 Explorer
Hi folks,I'm contemplating purchasing this 114270 Z Series Explorer and was hoping to get your opinion on a couple things.1. Based on the attached pictures, does everything check out? These are the best pictures I've been able to get from the seller thus far. To my eyes, the watch looks original, in honest condition, and not over polished.2. This seller does not have forum references, and has provided me with a few email addresses as references. These references have come out positive, but I'm still a bit wary and am hesitant to wire the funds. Would it be safe to use Paypal (goods & services) here? Anyone have experience recalling funds using this Paypal option if the deal goes south?Thanks so much for your input!
