I thought you folk might be interested in thisI went along to the local AD for the Basel 2008 show and got my hands on the DS mock up. None of the "watches" had movements in them but the cases, bracelets etc were real and also the weight of the watches was correct.WOW it is a monsterEverything about the watch is stunning, the ceramic bezel, the bezel rotation, the bracelet, seems to me Rolex are heading in the right direction with the mods. But boy its big, I thought the SD was a big watch but check out the lugs on this baby :o....While I was there also tried this one for size. It's platinum, its big like all the 08 watches and it costs.. +$60k apparently.I don't think the DS is the one for me but I'm sure Rolex will release a new ss sub and that will be the one, Basel 2009 perhaps. Help! Vintage Omega. What model is this?
Hello Everyone! Hope all is well with you and yours! I have looked through the whole forum until my eyes were blurry and couldn't find a similar watch.It has W 14k gold on the 6 O'clock side and there is a presentation inscription that has the date 09-22-1952.It is totally gold.img_0388.jpgimg_0389.jpgI know the band is not Omega but is a 10k gold marked band. With a total production of four pieces since 1983 I think this will qualify for a Limited edition.Take in consideration that #2 was ripped of the owners neck at a hold up in Paris, France some 10 years ago and is gone, (probably melted down) makes it even rarer.
