Seamaster buyers guide?
I'm looking for a buyers guide/write up (i.e. crash course) on purchasing a Seamaster. What's a fair price, what should I look for, etc. I'm looking for the smaller sized face automatic, that's all I know, from trying two of them on last week.Any help is appreciated.

I guess it depends on your personality.There is an auction running for an Oris Williams F1 Team Day Date.The owner claims the movement is an ETA 2836-2, and "not the SW 200 movement (ETA copy) which is now being used outside the Swatch Group Switzerland"Should I point out that yes, it's not the SW200, but it is the SW220, and from all evidence I can find, most definitely NOT a 'genuine' ETA 2836-2? Oris don't use ETA, and base their movements on Sellita movements (which are ETA 'copies' anyway).Or should I just not care, and let the auction run it's own merry way...?

Back from vacation and falling in LOVE with (2) recent SWI arrivals.The first is SL-600-10, all black with black MOP. This HUGE automatic sports a very unique crown-guard that spans two posts adjacent to the crown. It comes with a steel bracelet and a rubber strap (although I will probably NEVER use the rubber strap). Powered by a SW-200, the watch is executed beautifully. Textured and polished black MOP contrasts the black IP of the case and bracelet. Good "lume" accents the hands and affords night visibility of the time. Does anyone know how many of the new ROO Rose Gold 42mm on bracelets they produce each year. I was also told the boutiques only receive two pieces a year and i just find that number to be very low. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
