Girard Perregaux 49525-53-131-bk6a wrist watches news:
In America we get upset at the notion that cool objects are sold elsewhere and not here. We have had to deal with this for years in terms of cars, electronics, and especially watches. Japanese companies such as Citizen and Seiko are well known in the US, but don't exactly have the prestige that Swiss watches have. Regardless, in Japan these companies service the low-end and high-end markets equally.I'd say that most of the interesting watches that Citizen makes are never officially sold in the US. They are made in limited numbers and sold in places all over Japan. The market there seems to gobble up limited edition pieces that appeal only to a select few. Well some of these have much wider appeal in my opinion, and you should know about at least some of them. You can get a good deal of them on eBay or other places online. Here is one piece from the Citizen Alterna collection, model VO10-6662B. The all black watch shares a bracelet with certain Citizen NightHawk models. The look is highl
Enjoying the 15400, but have an opportunity to pick one up so was considering the move.Has anyone gone from a 15400 to a 15202 and if so, were they happy with the move - lack of screw down crown / running secs / less robust piece etc. how is it living with a 15202 vs a 15400?thanks for any tips
Hi Everyone! So I've been researching and am set on adding a RO to my collection, but in hunting for the right one, I've ended up with a few questions that I haven't been able to find the answers for. While I know RO dual time models retail for 22,000, I was initially shocked to find that ones in excellent used condition sell here (and elsewhere) for anywhere between 11.5-13k (even found one at 9000, which may have been too good to be true) while I've seen regular RO (3120 Calibers) sell for 12,000 around the forum as well. Is there a reason for this other than the fact that the Dual Time uses a JLC movement and a different caseback while 15450/15400 are fully in-house? I was a bit surprised to find that the more complicated pre-loved Dual Times sold around the same price as 15400/15450s
Hi I am an omega nut, I have 3 at the moment. 1 planet ocean, 1 planet ocean chrono with the orange bezel and I just picked up my new (for Christmas present ) gold/s/s broad arrow speedmaster with brown dial and gold accents. My question is this:-for my next Omega I am considering the 40th anniversary moonwatch. Do you think that this Speedmaster special edition watch is a good investment at ¡ê3500. (I can get 10% discount of this price) do you think it will increase in value at all over the years? Any thoughts welcome about this watch. Thanks and happy and holidays everyone.
