- Bought this watch as a gift for my sister and she loves it! I purchased the stainless steel with the dark face instead though. The links are very easy to remove to fit her wrist. Very stylish and can be worn as casual or dressy.

Girard Perregaux 49815-52-251-BACA wrist watches news:
Firstly, I hope you may of had a chance to read about the purchase of my 1st IWC watch this weekend. It is a S/S Da Vinci model no.3758 03My question refers to the movement of the rotor. Please forgive me if I haven't named it correctly, but I hope that you will know what I mean??I have never had a watch before were by you can hear and feel the rotor moving is this normal? As its causing me a bit of concern, because I keep thinking that there is something loose inside!! And I just need some reasuring. The watch has been sat on display for approximately a year prior to me purchasing it. Would this of affected the watch, such as the lubricants drying up.I would be most grateful for anybodies input on this matter.
I have read so many posts regarding these watches, the whole issue of are they the same model and if so what is the difference if any. Every post says they are basically the same watch with just a couple of minor difference regarding lettering on the dial and caseback and they are for different markets worldwide. If the above is true and they are the same watch then why does the skx175 carry a higher price tag. I have seen dealers selling both models but the 175 can be up to $80 more expensive, one of our site sponsors is selling both at different prices. Would you be prepared to pay the extra just to own the 175 ?
Took my Speedmaster to the closest Omega AD as one of the chrono hands wasn't resetting to zero and it hadn't been serviced. Was keeping time around -15 sec per day. I've had it for around 5 years. They sent it to Omega for service. Got a call from Omega today. The movement isn't performing to our standard and needs a full service. Ok. No sweat. Cost? 950$...ouch, but it is a chrono so....Big disappointment--watch will have a ONE year warranty after service compliments of Omega. Guess that's why we all appreciate the 5 year Rolex warranty. Sigh. Seems a little short to me. But oh well I guess.
Does anyone else wish this watch was 44mm or 45mm?
So I've noticed online that the white face 116500 is being sold at a higher premium than the black face one.... and the difference is a considerable amount...at some places the white face is being sold $2500 USD more than the black face (at swissluxury for example)..... how come? Is this due to more demand of the white face?....also the difference is just a dial swap away, which probably Rolex will do themselves for you if you are ready to purchase the extra dial (if not now, maybe later).... than y such a big premium for a different colour dial? Also how long do you guys think this premium will remain? And scarcity? Meaning it will be easily available at Rolex stores?
