Montres Corum S¨¤rl Acquires Corum USA LLC
Montres Corum S¨¤rl signed an agreement effective October 1 giving it control of Corum USA LLC, the exclusive distribution agent of Corum’s timepieces in the North American and Caribbean markets. Corum states that the acquisition is in line with their global distribution policy and allows a stronger presence for the brand in the American market, which the brand considers to be of the utmost importance. Michael Wunderman, Johnny Wizman and Steven Wizman, owners of the American distribution since early 2008, remain involved in the watch business as owners and operators of the W Luxury Group, the exclusive North American distributor of Franc Vila timepieces. Michael will remain as President within the subsidiary company until the end of October. From November, Mr. Antonio Calce, Corum’s CEO, will assume the interim presidency until the appointment of a new President.The employees of Corum USA LLC will remain in office and continue as usual. Chopard Happy diamonds transformed into Happy Sport
First, there was the Chopard Happy diamonds, which then transformed into Happy Sport, which then transformed into a pile of weird watches that were only eclipsed by the saturated world of forgery. The original concept was great, and then I think that Chopard just forgot what was the whole point of the watch. As a celebration of the 150th anniversary of the brand, Chopard has released a new Happy Sport Watch finally feels fresh, still connected to the original concept of Happy Diamonds.

Hamilton, Bermuda
Speaking of Hamilton banners, I couldn't pass up this shot.This was the only Hamilton watch I saw in Bermuda. There were a number of jewelry/watch shops with Crisson's being the shop with at least six locations on the island. Rolex, Omega and Raymond Weil were well represented in the higher price ranges while Swiss Army and Tissot covered the moderately priced end. The various Seikos and Citizens ran the gamut. Most shops offered 25-40% off of U.S. retail prices depending on the brand. Since you can often get similar deals here from ADs all you really save is the tax.
