- This is a great watch. The soft band fits comfortably around my wrist and isn't very heavy at all. The pattern on the band is stylish and the color is fun. The picture matches the actual watch very well.

F.P. Journe Stars In His Own Manga Comic
I wouldn't have believed it until I saw it, but watchmaker Francois-Paul Journe is starring in his own Japanese manga comic. Written and illustrated by actual Japanese people. Yes, it is weird, but totally true. I picked one up at a F.P. Journe boutique store here in Los Angeles and apparently there aren't that many of them.The manga is called "Story of F.P. Journe" and proceeds to walk through some elements of Francois-Paul's life and career¨C and some of the the brand's watches and developments. Actually, the "story" is not entirely new but rather an adaptation of a previous manga made especially for F.P. Journe. That previous manga was produced for the Japanese watch magazine called Tokei Begin and was called "Tokei Kigen Monogatari" from 2005. If you want to know, it is written by Yasutoshi Murakawa and drawn by Nakano Kung-fu.The Japanese have a manga for pretty much everything, so that they would have one to explain watch history is not particularly surprising. My wife just gave me this older Speedmaster. I think it is at least 20 years old. Can any of you fine gentlemen offer any info about this watch? What would it cost to have a new crystal installed, and have the watch cleaned up? Thank you in advance, Rodbuster.

Rolex GMT V Omega GMT
I dont know enough about watches to say anything technical, but these are two great watches.The Rolex GMT II Pepsi is a stone classic.The Omega Seamaster GMT is a classic in waiting.Lol X and Perdu have both done great reviews of the Omega recently, so I will just add a couple of my own observations.....Bezel....Rolex wins easily. Both in the colour combo and ease of use. That coin edge bezel will never be bettered !Lume...Omega wins by a street. I was always surprised at how poor the lume was on both my Rollies.Now I've got an Omega I can actually see the time in the dark as well.Date feature....I loath and detest the Rolex cyclops, so its a fantastic change to see the date without having to angle the cyclops just right.Size and weight....the Omega is slightly bigger (41.5mm to 40mm) and heavier than the Rolex. This is no bad thing,but is not really a factor one way or the other.Its only when you place them side by side that you really notice it.Caseback.....the engraved caseback on t
