Graham 2SWASGMT.B01A wrist watches news:
Follow-up thoughts from Brian of Chicago who won the February 2013 watches-dealer watch giveawayIt was a delightful surprise when I was contacted by Ariel, and was told that I won the monthly drawing contest for a Casio Pro Trek watch from watches-dealer. While I like to consider myself a watch enthusiast, I had to admit that I had a severe lack of adventure/sport watches. While I had the standard tool watch, or the long lasting quartz watch, I didn¡¯t have a watch where if I were to get lost in the woods, or I had to jump out of a plane, I knew that I would be able to focus on whatever is at hand, and not worry about my watch failing me, much less helping me survive. The watch comes in a pretty nice wooden (pine?) box. It is fairly Spartan, but it does exude the sense of adventure and exploration that this watch was marketed towards. Plus, at this price point, I¡¯m just glad that it didn¡¯t come in a clear plastic box. The instruction manual is large, but easy to understand and covers mos
I finally did some business with the nice people at Otto Frei and got my Illinois Sangamo back on the (rail)road. Just needed a mainspring. Running like a champ. It's living in a nice Keystone Victory case until I can get some crystals replaced in my other cases.Solid gold train and jewel settings and that gorgeous half moon click.I tried to fix the cosmetic problems. With Ben’s help I had a new dial in my sights. It was the prefect one he mentioned in the Crashing Prices thread at the end of Dec. I called as soon as he got me the number but the man said I was 2 hours too late. Hmmm. I’ve often thought that with a little practice I might be able to switch out the seconds bit for one that’s not cracked. It would present a little better. I don't know what's up with all the nibbles around the top of the seconds. This is probably the prettiest movement I own. I definitely can get lost watching it.Joel

We need a quick reference for commonly used watch abbreviations and terms. New members are joining us every day, and as veterans we sling the terms around like it's our native tongue. I'm not talking about every day internet things like IMHO, AFAIK or GTG. I'm talking about this: "I sent my TT DJ to the RSC. While it's at the spa, I'm sporting my DRSD. I think a trip to my AD is in order for a look at a ND Sub. I'd like to compare it to the new PO." I've started the basics but need your help adding to the list. I keep getting distracted (hey, my screen name is ulackfocus after all!) and seeing as it's second nature I can't list it all because I'm too used to it. Here's what I have. Please add on your replies, and then we'll edit it into one post with forum specific terminology.
