Hamilton H64666135 wrist watches news:
Introduced at SIHH, this new chronograph from Montblanc incorporates some interesting features. The movement uses a column wheel and vertical clutch, and both the chronograph seconds and minute hands are mounted in the center. There is also a flyback function, a date window at 9 o¡¯clock, and a second time zone with 24-hour display at 12 o’clock. The Calibre MB LL100’s vertical disk coupling helps the seconds hand start smoothly when the chronograph is activated, and it reduces friction and so prevents unnecessary wear when the chronograph function is allowed to run for lengthy intervals. The center-mounted chronograph seconds can be read on the quarter-seconds scale on the outermost periphery of the dial, and the sixty-minute track is a separate scale inside the hours-circle.Pressing the button at 4 o’clock while the chronograph is running causes both the central chronograph seconds hand and the red sixty-minute totalizer to ¡°fly back¡± to their zero positions and, wit
Yesterday and today I had a chance to handle my friends vintage 2573J from 1960.This watch is only 33mm wide without crown and I must say that at the first momentthis watch felt rather small on my wrist. Interestingly after about 3-4 hours I thought it was 'just about right' (I have a thin wrist, mind you).Nothing fancy here...just simple and classic beauty. Hope you'll enjoy the pictures:(excuse the poor quality, I left the batteries for my XTi & G9 at work and had to use the old & little Panasonic fx30)(Source of the last image of caliber 10-200 is not known. Obtained by Internet search.)Patek Philippe - Reference 2573J - 18K YGManufactured: 1950's - 1960's, Caliber: 10-200, 18 jewels, straight line lever escapement, Gyromax balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, shock-absorber, self-compensating Breguet balance-spring, micrometer regulator. Dial, case and movement are signed. Size: 33mm wide (34 with crown) x 34.5mm lug-to-lug tip tall x 7.5 mm thick.
I'm off on Monday to finish out my b day weekend. Seiko Spork on my wrist while my wife and I get in some early Christmas shopping in. -Shawn
What do you guys think of the 5951? I find it very beautiful, especially the model with the engravings, of course the price is very very hefty, around 600K, but I understand whereas I couldn't understand the 400K for the 5950, one is platinum, PC, moon phase, whereas the 5950 is steel and without PC or moon phase.Of course I would never consider getting one except if I was to become very rich, but if you need to save up 20 or more years to get a watch I would definitely have other contenders which would come before, 5204, 5213 and a few others. If I was given a choice as a present between a 5951 and a 5970 I would choose the 5951, but if I needed to pay myself would take the 5970, once again a piece that I will never have the possibility of getting but I am happy to be able to just look at it in pics 5951p-001.jpg5951_500P_001-3.png5951_500P_001-2.png
