- Watch and box was in perfect condition, however, add should have been clear that strap was latch system rather then traditional belt-type strap. I prefer the latter with Hamiltons.

Hamilton Ventura....and Introduction
Hi Everybody.Merry Christmas! I just found this forum, so this is my first post here, and I just wanted to say hi (my name....you see, I love dogs, and I love watches, and 'WatchDog' was taken, so....).I'm a watch collector / maniac; I was bitten by the bug about 4 years ago (on a birthday ending with a "0"), and I now own about 20 watches.I found that as my collection / sickness developed, my tastes have changed, and I began to realize what I really like. I now see that I tend to like bigger watches, with simple, classic designs. And I usually favor round dials that are silver or creme colored. And I'm now developing an interest in retro designs, which is cool, because I'm a bit intrigued by the past in general (I think maybe I was born about 50years too late ). Thoughts on precious metal Rolexes.
I love the 228238 and the 116618LN. I have had a 36mm Rolex Day Date that I bought new back in 2001. I paid $20,000 for that watch from an AD. I made the huge mistake of selling it. Now looking back on what they are going for now, even after 16-17 years, they don't really hold their value well. I know my 116040 and 126600 will fair very well over the next 10-20 years, assuming I keep them.What are the forum members thoughts on PM Rolex watches?
