- i bought this as a Xmas gift for my husband and he loves it. The rubber band is great but you do have to get on the company's web page for instructions on how to size your band. We will likely purchase other watches form this line.

As promised in my other Hamilton Thin-O-Matic post, here are some pics of a Hamilton "Power" watch my wife gave to me as a birthday present quite a while ago. She works in the jewellery business and used to be a Hamilton dealer in Spain (where we currently live). You'll notice the instruction booklet in Spanish, naturally. The paperwork is number-correct, but she isn't sure that the case is the exact one which came with the watch, therefore, any information would be very helpful. I can't seem to find much information about this watch model, either. In the paperwork it states "Limited Edition", but I'm not sure how "Limited" it really is or when it was fabricated (although I think in the 80's).I hope everyone enjoys the pics. I love looking at the pictures of the other watches and am very glad I found this forum!Tim
I got this on the swamp a few years ago and just got it back from the watch doctor (ok, so I've been a little behind):I know nothing about Hamilton military watches. But I assume this is from the WWII production period:Serial number on the 987A movement dates to about 1944-1945:Has an unusual movement cover (like a dust cover on a pocket watch) that is sealed with a gasket. I assume this was to protect the movement during military use:Case is base metal with a chrome coating:Any info. would be appreciated. Thanks.Mark S.
Ran by the house for lunch and to find it my Hamilton arrived. And....IT HAD!Did not have time to set up for some good pictures so I only got this one. More to follow!
Can anyone add to this? Thanks. TFFrom Time2Watch in a different thread:Timefinder thanks for the information. I want to apologize for hijacking this thread just a little bit but I do have one question please. When you have an atomic feature which syncs the time on a continuous basis (I think every hour or few hours), can you override that and sync it to your own time?Reason I ask is because maybe a clock at work is off by a few minutes and I want to sync it to my works clock. Will it revert back to the correct time or will it give me that option to keep what I set?By the way, I am considering the Casio G2300-9VFrom TF:To my knowledge, Casio watches attempt to synch up every night on the hour every hour starting at 0000 and ending at 0500. Each synch attempt lasts approximately 5 minutes. Once the synch is achieved, the watch no longer tries to synch up. Typically Casio will have either a meter, a G, or some other symbol in 3 parts to let you know the receive level (low, med, high). Bla
